Dan’s Chair

A client wished to bring a contemporary accent in a writing chair to match his Louise XIV ornate writing table. I modified the swirls and curves, simplified carvings and the gold leaf use. The corner chairs of that era  had the legs off set ..I found that interesting and created a 5 legged option. The customized extra height of the seat gave an elegant curve to the three front legs.I also designed the Celtic knot to reflect the elements and colors in the chair.Material: cherry, paint, gold-leaf, upholstered back needlepoint crafted by Nancy KeatingDimensions (h x w x d): 39 x 25.5 x 23.5Year Made: 2006
