Aquatic Bathroom Mirror

This client's bathroom has a fantasy aquatic theme. As a clay artist, she made several tiles that featured shoreline and underwater creatures. The octopus and the giant sea kelp is my contribution to the overall theme.  The reflections in the mirror, as the sinuous shape of the octopus, wrapped itself around the frame, presented a challenge. I had to make sure that the carvings of the suckers were detailed underneath even if not seen from the front. Same with any kelp that twisted and turned, needed to be fully shaped in the back also. I did not have an airbrush for this project so graduating the colors needed extra attention to avoid brush marks.
