Solitude Observed

How does one see oneself in the mirror? Do our eyes tell us our emotions and if we can’t see them looking back at us, is our observation of our self incomplete? A partial veil¬† hangs around the observed face, but covers the eyes; temptation to look under?

For me, the cloth coverings on my artwork have ritualistic essence, and sometimes, healing.  This one, in memory of a loved one.
